Amethyst was born on February 4, 1995, in Bristol, Connecticut. Her drag name comes from her birthstone. She started doing drag at the age of 18, inspired by Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. She describes herself as a “resident meme queen and popstar of Connecticut”. She has performed in various venues across the state, such as Chez Est, Partners Cafe, and Tisane Euro Asian Cafe.
She is also a singer and songwriter, who has released two mixtapes, Kind Of Girl and Wannabe Popstar, and several singles, such as “Rock My Body”, “Scary”, and “Superstars”. She has collaborated with other drag artists, such as Kenya Mone Heart and Mia E. Z’Lay. She cites Charli XCX, Kim Petras, and Doja Cat as her musical influences.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15
Amethyst was one of the 16 contestants of the fifteenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which premiered on January 7, 2023. She entered the werkroom with the catchphrase “Is this thing on?”. She was assigned to the B group for the first challenge, which was a lip-sync extravaganza to RuPaul’s songs. She performed “Sissy That Walk” with Princess Poppy, Irene, and Salina EsTitties. She received positive critiques from the judges, but was not in the top three.
In the second episode, she participated in the Ball Ball, where she had to create three looks based on different types of balls. She chose the Disco Ball, the Basket Ball, and the Hair Ball. She received negative critiques for her outfits, especially for her Hair Ball look, which was made of wigs and hair extensions. They had to lip-sync to “Toxic” by Britney Spears. She was eliminated, while Salina EsTitties stayed in the competition.

Amethyst is of French-Italian American descent. She identifies as non-binary, and uses she/her pronouns in drag, and they/them pronouns out of drag. She had dated fellow contestant Robin Fierce prior to appearing on Drag Race. They are still friends and support each other’s drag careers.
