Lindsey Halligan is an American lawyer who has been representing former US president Donald Trump since 2022. She is 34 years old as of 2023, and was born in July 1989 in Colorado. She is a partner in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale East offices’ Property Group, and handles residential and commercial insurance claims. She is also known for being one of the few lawyers who was on site during the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, and for being involved in Trump’s lawsuit against CNN and his defense against the federal government in the classified documents case.
Education and Career
Lindsey Halligan graduated from Regis University with a degree in Politics and Broadcast Journalism, and then received her JD Law Degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014. She started her career as an insurance lawyer, defending insurance companies against various claims of fire, water, vandalism, fraud, and theft. She also had some experience in trial litigation, but was once denied attorneys fees by a judge who ruled that her team did not act “in good faith”.
Trump’s Lawyer
Lindsey Halligan became Trump’s lawyer in 2022, and has been involved in several high-profile cases related to the former president. She was at Mar-a-Lago during the FBI search of the property in August 2022, which she said came as a “huge surprise”. She quickly became involved in Trump’s lawsuit in October 2022 against CNN for allegedly comparing Trump to Hitler, and has been involved in his defense against the federal government in the classified documents case. She is the local counsel for the case in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and filed the Motions to Appear Pro Hac Vice for Evan Corcoran and James Trusty, two other lawyers working for Trump. She said Trump’s subsequent indictment goes “for the jugular”. Trump’s Save America PAC paid Halligan $212,000 from June 2022 to June 2023.

Lindsey Halligan is married to Brian Halligan, a former Marine and a real estate agent. They have two children, a son and a daughter. They live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lindsey Halligan is active on social media, and often posts pictures of her family and her work. She is a supporter of Trump and his policies, and has expressed her admiration for him on several occasions.
